LIKA BRUTYAN: FRAGMENTS OF BEING [Exhibition]

IMAST Agency, in partnership with Mogul, presents Fragments of Being, a solo exhibition of photographic works and sculptural forms by Los Angeles–based artist Lika Brutyan. On view for a private presentation at Mogul within the Pacific Design Center, the exhibition marks Brutyan’s first collaboration with the design store and introduces her work into a spatial dialogue between contemporary art and design.

Fragments of Being considers identity not as a fixed whole, but as a shifting composition. Across photography and sculpture, Brutyan traces the body and psyche as incomplete forms, where presence flickers between visibility and disappearance, and meaning emerges through fragments rather than resolution. Her practice unfolds with a sensitivity to light, material, and emotional atmosphere. In her photographs, figures hover at the edge of clarity—part apparition, part memory—while landscapes hold a restrained theatricality. Light operates not merely as illumination, but as structure: shaping bodies, dissolving boundaries, and extending the image into space. This sensibility carries into her sculptural work, where form appears in a state of becoming—fluid, unresolved, and quietly charged.

Installed within Mogul’s interior architecture, the exhibition allows Brutyan’s works to move beyond the image plane. Photographs and objects inhabit the space with a measured stillness, inviting viewers into a more intimate, embodied encounter. The result is an environment where perception slows, and the act of looking becomes a kind of quiet recognition.

“My art is a dialogue with movement, fluidity, and the rawness of human vulnerability,” Brutyan writes. “Each piece carries a sense of continuation—a rhythm that echoes the ceaseless motion of life itself. For me, art is not about perfection but about stirring something profound within… reminding us that there is no true end, only the constant evolution of form, feeling, and connection.”

A highly curated selection of original photographic prints and sculptural works will be presented, with select pieces available for acquisition. The artist will be in attendance for a private book signing.

The opening brings together members of the Los Angeles art and design community in an atmosphere shaped by quiet exchange—an invitation not only to view, but to feel.
