Lika Brutyan is a Los Angeles–based artist whose practice moves between photography and sculpture, guided by an enduring inquiry into the body, perception, and emotional memory. Raised at the intersection of science and art, her work reflects a psychological sensitivity shaped by her academic background in psychology and a lifelong devotion to image-making. Her images emphasize line, gesture, and negative space, allowing the body to become both subject and language.

In recent years, Brutyan has expanded her practice into sculpture, working with clay to explore tactility and volume. These works echo the concerns of her photographic practice: organic forms, rhythmic surfaces, and a meticulous attention to detail. Whether through lens or hand, her work resists spectacle in favor of intimacy, inviting viewers into slow contemplation. Her work has been exhibited internationally across the United States and Europe and has been published widely in leading fashion and culture publications.
